The WPM KONOS is a single dose conical grinder built around a large 71mm conical burr set, manufactured in Italy. It is part of WPM’s premium grinder lineup — developed as the conical counterpart to the well-regarded ZP-1 flat burr grinder — and engineered specifically for home baristas and small café environments that prioritise espresso quality, workflow speed, and the ability to switch between single-origin beans without flavour contamination.

Unlike most single dose grinders in this class, the KONOS offers variable RPM control with a live display on the body of the grinder. You can adjust the motor speed across 10 settings between 150 and 420 RPM, and use the dedicated boost button to clear the last remaining grounds from the burr chamber. This level of grind speed control is rarely found in conical grinders at this price point.

Ultra-Low Retention and Built-in Ioniser: The KONOS uses a direct feed path and built-in anti-static ioniser to minimise retention and prevent clumping. This means you can switch beans between doses with virtually no flavour carry-over and no need for RDT (Ross Droplet Technique). WPM does not recommend RDT, as moisture may cause the uncoated burrs to rust over time.

One-Step Tool-Free Cleaning: The upper burr assembly removes with a single twist — no tools required. Routine cleaning takes under a minute. The anti-static tubes should be brushed regularly with the included cleaning brush to maintain optimal performance.

Direct-to-Portafilter Workflow: The integrated portafilter fork holds a standard 58mm portafilter or dosing cup securely in place. The chute knocker clears remaining grounds from the exit path, keeping your bench clean and your dosing accurate.

Boost Button: At the end of your grind cycle, press and hold the boost button to run the motor at maximum RPM. This pushes the last grounds out of the burr chamber. Pair it with the bellows and knocker for the cleanest possible dose change.

400W Brushless DC Motor: A commercial-grade brushless motor delivers consistent torque with reduced noise. The motor handles light-roast, high-density beans without stalling — a common pain point with less powerful grinders.
